Here We Go
Monday! I know that most people would rather skip Monday and just start with Tuesday. That's me! Well, was me. I was looking forward to today. Getting Lizzy back into the chamber was the only thing on my mind until mom says, "Hey, let's go for a walk"! Ok...yea, let's. Mom and I joined weight watchers last week and need to get moving for some activity points. So, we laced up the sneaks, put Lizzy in her stroller, and headed out the door.
I don't know why I look like this. I look like I just woke up!
Spanish moss is so beautiful.
Lizzy loves walks. It was warm and humid this morning. Again, Lizzy loved it. She listened to her music and squealed the whole time. This walk reminded me of when I used to walk with my friend, Liz Reyher. She and I would walk on the beach. She would say "ok....see you at the pier"! She walked so fast that I couldn't keep up. When I got to the pier, she would be just about finished with her water. Then she would say, "see you back at the car". We never really "walked" together but we supported each other. That is how mom and I walked today. I just couldn't keep up. Here is the embarrassing part.....she was strolling a 77 pound Lizzy! She has a faster pace than I do and I lagged behind. But, when I made it back, she and Lizzy we're already back in the room and she didn't give me the business. We're very supportive of each other.
YOU have made us feel like that. You may not be right here with us, but we feel so supported by all of you. Your comments, emails, voice mails, and phone calls have been so encouraging. And speaking of comments, I was made aware that some of you are having trouble posting comments. I think that I fixed it. You don't have to sign in anymore. Just click on the comments at the end of the post and go from there. I am sorry if you found that frustrating.
Lizzy is still tolerating the chamber and is doing well. She seems to be a lot more affectionate. I really didn't think that it was possible but it is....she loves to be snuggled. Just ask Nana! She puts her arms around her neck and locks her hands so you cannot get out of it. A real hug, folks!
I have a video for you. I am sorry that I talk through it. Next time I will mute it. I wanted you to see Lizzy outside the chamber:-)
And now I have a favor to ask you. I know that you are praying for Lizzy and we love you for that. Would you be willing to share your prayer for Lizzy with us? Lizzy may never understand but I want to have them for her book. You can email it. Post it as a comment here. Facebook it to me. However you wish.
God Bless!
Nana knows how to make Lizzy laugh.
Here is something that you don't see everyday in a clinic.
His name is Benji and his momma (human) is getting treatments for her knee.
Have a great night!
